Sarah Flynn Design is a contemporary, luxury and bespoke design brand by

award-winning Irish Fashion & Textile Designer Sarah Flynn based in Dublin, Ireland. Sarah enjoys creating original designs and artwork with her strong unique eye for colour, detail and pattern. Passionate about design, functionality, and sustainability.

 

Sarah Flynn studied Textile and Surface Design at the National College of Art & Design, Dublin. Graduated in 2020 with a B.A. (Hons) International First Class Honours Degree in Textile & Surface Design. Sarah's graduate degree collection 'Colourfully Conscious' won the Institute Designers Ireland (IDI) Graduate Design Awards 2020, Fashion & Textiles Category.​

 

After graduating during a global pandemic, Sarah decided to set up her freelance design brand. In 2021, Sarah received a distinction QQI  Business Certification with The Entrepreneurs Academy. Sarah is an experienced award-winning Irish designer who has created a new unique Irish design brand Sarah Flynn Design and a diverse portfolio of innovative contemporary fashion and textile design work for various products, clients and businesses.

 

A highly motivated collaborative designer having worked in both fashion/textiles roles in Dublin and London, with a strong focus on design, colour, trends, fabrics, weaving, textile print /surface and graphic design, utilising her proficient skills in fashion/ textiles design and handcrafts. Passionate and uniquely skilled with her hand drawing, painting, print/graphic design, illustration, CAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Procreate and various design software.

 

Sarah has gained valuable industry experience designing a variety of best-seller, seasonal, multi-product ranges for fashion/textiles - womenswear, kidswear, menswear and homeware. Sarah has built strong relationships designing for a variety of internationally known companies, such as Irish multinational retail chain Dunnes Stores, a variety of retailers e.g. George Asda, Next: Friends Like These, Miss Selfridge, Victoria Secret etc. Sarah has also worked with luxury Irish start-up brands and international design studios, designing seasonal textile graphic/print designs and fashion collections which are sold in Ireland, the UK, Paris, New York.

Sarah crafts beautiful designs to drive business as well as creating successful client projects, collaborations, collections, print designs and innovative customer products. Putting ideas to paper, designing and creating is what I was born to do.
